Privacy Policy
Plain-English Summary
Good Meeting Time is designed from the ground up to respect your privacy. All timezone math, timeline rendering, and meeting proposals run client-side directly in your browser. We do not require user accounts, we do not store your calendar events, and we never sell your personal information.
1. Client-Side Architecture
Unlike conventional scheduling software, Good Meeting Time does not require or maintain a
server database of your meetings, schedules, or attendees. All calculations—including
timezone offsets, Daylight Saving Time conversions, and solar position mathematics—execute
locally on your device using native browser APIs (such as Intl.DateTimeFormat).
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- No User Accounts: You do not need to register, create an account, or provide an email address or password to use Good Meeting Time.
- No Stored Calendar Events: We do not connect to your personal email accounts or access your private calendar contents.
- No Tracking Cookies for Advertising: We do not deploy third-party advertising tracking cookies or cross-site surveillance beacons.
3. Information We Collect and Receive
We collect minimal, privacy-conscious data necessary to deliver, protect, and measure the performance of the service:
- Privacy-Preserving Web Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-first, cookie-free, and does not collect or track personal user profiles across websites. It records non-identifying aggregate metrics such as page views, referring websites, general country or region of origin, and browser/device type. These aggregate statistics help us monitor site performance and verify total audience reach for future operational and sponsorship purposes.
-
Local Storage Preferences: We may store harmless visual settings (such
as your selected Light/Dark UI theme or ribbon display mode) locally on your device
using standard browser
localStorage. This data stays entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers. - Standard Server & Security Logs: When you access our website, our content delivery network (Cloudflare) automatically receives standard technical web requests (such as your IP address, browser user-agent, and requested file path) to deliver web pages, prevent denial-of-service attacks, and ensure system uptime.
4. Shareable Links and URL Hash Fragments
When you use the Link button to share a proposed meeting time with colleagues,
the application encodes the selected date, time slot, duration, and chosen cities directly
into the URL's hash fragment (e.g., #date=...&slot=...&tzs=...).
By web standards, URL hash fragments are handled exclusively by your web browser and are not transmitted to web servers in HTTP request headers. Anyone with whom you share the full URL can view the proposed meeting settings encoded within that link.
5. Third-Party Integrations
Google Calendar Export: When you click the "Google Cal" button, Good Meeting Time constructs a standard public Google Calendar intent link that opens directly in Google Calendar in a new tab. We do not access, read, or alter your Google Calendar account. Your use of Google Calendar is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data. We only disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, security, and integrity of the service against malicious activity or security threats.
7. Children's Privacy
Good Meeting Time is a general-audience productivity tool. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, technological, or legal enhancements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
